VOLUNTEERS
Volunteer at the Torrellano Cup 2026
Organizing a tournament on the scale of the 37th Torrellano Cup is a massive undertaking. This year, the tournament cements its significant international standing, once again turning the courts into a multicultural meeting point. We will be welcoming hundreds of players, local clubs, national delegations—such as those traveling from the Basque Country—and a large number of international teams crossing borders to compete here. A tremendous amount of work goes on behind every match, every scoreboard, and the hosting of all these clubs; the reality is that none of this would be possible without volunteers.
We want both the home teams and all international participants to enjoy the experience to the fullest and feel right at home. Whether you are a club player, a parent, a friend, a handball enthusiast, or even a player competing in the tournament who wants to lend a hand during your free time, we would love to have you on board. No prior experience is necessary; any help—whether during the pre-tournament setup, the competition itself, or the final teardown—makes a huge difference in ensuring everything runs perfectly.
If you like handball and people, we need you!

What you get out of being part of the staff
We know you’re here to help out with the tournament and the club, but we want to make sure you’re well looked after during your time with us. That’s why all volunteers for this edition will receive:
Two official t-shirts: As always, we’ll give you two tournament t-shirts so you’re easily identifiable—and they’re yours to keep as a souvenir.
Bonding and meeting people from around the world: It’s the best way to experience the tournament from the inside. You’ll have the unique opportunity to interact with international teams, spend time with club members, and enjoy the unique multicultural atmosphere among the staff.
Meals provided: If you’re working a full day or a double shift, we’ll take care of your lunch or dinner.
Saturday paella: On the tournament Saturday, we take a break to eat together. We serve a giant paella for the entire volunteer team—a chance to relax, chat, and enjoy the big day.
How can you help?
We are looking for people to help with tasks based on your strengths or what you’d enjoy doing most. You can select your preferences in the form:
Courts and competition: Staffing the scorekeeper tables, managing the timers, or helping get the courts ready for the next match.
Accreditation and information: Welcoming national and international clubs upon arrival, handing out passes and welcome packs, and guiding them so they can easily navigate the tournament.
Helping out in the dining areas, managing access points, or ensuring there is plenty of water for the teams and staff.
We are completely flexible with your schedule. You don’t need to be there 24/7; just let us know which days and times you are free, and we’ll fit you into the shifts that work best for you. And if you’re playing in the tournament with your team, don’t worry—we’ll adjust your shifts to match your match schedule so you can balance everything perfectly.
How do I sign up?
It’s as easy as filling out the official form at the link below. This helps us know how many volunteers we have, determine your t-shirt size, and organize shifts in advance.
If you have any questions before signing up, feel free to email us directly at: torrellanocup@torrellanocup.es.
Thanks for lending a hand to make another edition of the Torrellano Cup possible! See you on the courts!
